Before tonight, the White Sox had lost their last eight games, and things are really spiraling out of control. The Sox now stand at 29-38, dead last in their division. Ventura lost his cool to the point of ejection Wednesday. The Sox have averaged around 1 run in the last 10 games. Needless to say, things are tough on the South Side.
The White Sox have one more game against the Rangers, following by a series in Minnesota and in Detroit. It is likely that things will get worse before they get better (however I urge you to read my article regarding the White Sox’s bright future). Following that, baseball heads into its mid-summer season, or as many like to call it, the doldrums. From then on anything can happen, even maybe a playoff push.
While there is still time, many people have written off this years team. Look for the Sox to make some large offseason changes come November.
