In case you haven’t been up into the news, Jake Arrieta is having a Cy Young caliber season. Pitching a 2.11 ERA including a 0.54 ERA in the month of August, Arrieta is proving to us all that he is the MLB’s king of pitching. While those stats alone are amazing, Arrieta cemented himself further into greatness tonight after completing his first career no hitter. With twelve strikeouts, including three in the 9th inning, Arrieta broke his own strikeout record on his way to a no hitter. All this while against likely playoff bound rival, Dodgers.
