Hey Chicago, it's about that time again where the best talent from around the NBA gathers to form a superteam to compete in the olympic games. Although the Bulls only have one player that is participating in the USA Basketball Camp, Jimmy Butler is among the top tier players in the league. Derrick Rose began in the select 34 players invited to Team USA Basketball camp, but then was among the few players to cease attendance. I doubt that Derrick Rose was cut from the team because Michael Carter-Williams, one of the least efficient players in the league, has still been attending the camp. I doubt that Derrick Rose was cut because a player clearly below him has still been going.
Jimmy Butler is in my opinion a premier player in the National Basketball Association because of the way he plays both sides of the ball. Unlike Tony Allen, one of the best perimeter defenders in the league, Butler can carry a team on offense as well as shutdown a star player much like he did against the Cavs' in the playoffs. In another scenario, James Harden, and offensive superstar and MVP front-runner, can't play D. I feel like in both situations Butler is an overall better player and can do so much to help a team. This makes him a case for the reigning Most Improved Player of 2015 as a bench player in 2016 at Rio De Janeiro.
